Supplies for Beginning Kids Class

Yep, it is that time again. The girls are sewing up a storm we need more supplies! Here is the list for the next two projects:

Sewing Supplies for Beginning Kid Class

We will be making something similiar to this little bit of cuteness from education.com (http://www.education.com/activity/article/denim-wall-pockets/?cid=80) but with our own creative twist. To be used in your locker, at home on the wall, or right next to your bed. The girls will be helping to design the pattern for their class. It will be our first adventure into the world of pattern drafting!

Locker Pocket or Bed Pocket

• 1 pair of old pants, shorts, or capris (we want the back pockets, can be any fabric denium, colored etc)

• ½ yard 45 in cotton fabric for back and sides in coordinating fabric

• 2 coordinating “fat quarters” for piecing

• Matching thread
